Hi all,
Gabriel Mangault was born circa 1741 in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France.
Son of Gilbert and Anne Fort, he married Marie-Louise Barbier in Laprairie on Feb. 2, 1764.
(PRDH event 318800)

Sons were:
Jean-Baptiste, born 30 sep. bapt. oct 1st 1773 in St-Philippe de Laprairie.
Louis, b&b oct 16 1775 in St-Philippe.

I have just begun work with Olivier Mangau of Clermont-Ferrand ( mangau@wanadoo.fr) in a collaborative effort to inventory all the descendants of Gabriel Mangault dit Clermont in North-America.Unfortunately, Olivier's mastery of the english language is not what he would like it to be so I'm pitching-in as a translator and researcher for all Mangault-Clermont events in Quebec.

Anybody interested in contributing information is most welcome, please state your sources and, as the .ged database grows, I will be sharing it with all contributors. Your name will be included in the text portion of the .ged file along with your sources.

If we all pitch-in, we can make it happen.
