Bill, Thanks for your response. I am hoping to eventually locate some male Turners who are direct descendants of James and Rebecca Clendenin Turner who will join the Turner Surname DNA project to document the DNA signature for this Turner family. We are wanting to document the DNA for as many of the early Turner lines in the mid-Atlantic region of the colonies as possible for whom there is reliable information which can substantiate their families location and enough information to later on be able to help many Turners whose ancestry is still very much in the air. It seems so often the ones that moved on westward have been forgotten by those who stayed and those that left became cut off from their roots. The DNA project is a means by which eventually these trees that became split apart can be regrafted together. If any one is reading this who knows they are from the James Turner and Rebecca Clendenin line of Turners, I would love to discuss the possibility of having you join the project.
