I am searching for information about my great grandmother Josephine Clendenin Bickford. She was born in Kanawha Co. WV November 24, 1868. I've only found one Josephine in all my searching that even comes close to matching her and that would have made her the daughte of John Van Buren Clendenin, but I want to be certain. According to information I did find, this Josephine died in 1888, but my Josephine didn't die until around 1911 or 1912. Supposedly she died in childbirth. From what I've heard she got pregnant with a change of life baby and it affected her mind somewhat. She died in the State Hospital in Kanawha Co. She married Eri Bickford in Kanawha Co. WV in Dec. of 1888. I don't know anything about her background, don't know who her father and mother were or any of her siblings. If anyone out there has any information about her I would love to hear from you! Her full name (I believe) was Olivia Josephine Clendenin.
