Searching for the grave of Thomas Rufus Clendinen who died 25 March 1910 at Riverdale, Prince George County , MD. Thomas was a VMI cadet at the battle of New Market, 15 May 1864. He married his second wife, Mrs. Mary H. English, in Charles Town, WV. A newspaper obituary reports that his body was sent by train to Harpers Ferry, WV for burial.

A few VMI alumni are trying to locate the graves of all the New Market Corps. Thomas R Clendinen is one of the last 30 to find.
