Know ye that in consideration of military service performed by John Warner (a sargeant for three years), William Coffle (a soldier for the war) and Isaac Anglin (a soldier for three years) to the United States, in Virginia Line on Continental Establishment, and in pursuance of an Act of the Congress of the United States, passed on the 10th day of August, in the year 1790, entitled "An Act to enabel the Officers and Soldiers of the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment to obtain titles to certain lands lying norht-west of the River Ohio, between the little Miami and the Sciota: and another Act of the said Congress, passed on the 9th day of June in the year 1794, amendatory of the said Act, there is granted by the said United States unto William Clendenin and William McClung a certain tract of land containing Five Hundred Acres situate between the little Miami and Sciota rivers, north-west of the River Ohio as by survey, bearing date the eighth day of May in the year one thousand eight hundred and one, and bounded and described as follows, TO WIT, Surveyed for William Clendenin and William McClung Five Hundred Acres of land on three military, to wit: On number 3406.4533.?1876 whose rights have been severally assigned to the said William Clendenin and William McClung, on the waters of Mad River, beginning at a hickory sixty poles East from a spring in the edge of a prairie on the trace that leads from the head of Deer Creek toward, Isaac Jones', on Mad River at said spring is a white oak marked M.D. with gun powder running south 180 poles and with his line crossing a small branch to an elm and hickory, thence west 308 poles to two black oaks and hickory, thence N 260 poles, crossing a branch at 166 poles to three white oaks and a cherry tree, thence East 308 poles to a stake in a prairie, thence South eighty poles to the beginning.With the appurtenances: TO HAVE and TO HOLD this said tract of land, with the appurtenances unto the said William Clendenin and William McClung and their heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common and not joint tenants.

Note: John Warner, William Coffle, Isaac Anglin were originally entitled to the bounty land granted by the within Patent to William Clendenin and William McClung who claim under the said John Warner, William Coffle and Isaac Anglin.
