Jake Clendenen was the name of the brother of my great-grandmother Lydia Mae Clendenen. She had a sister, Mattie Peek, and a half-sister, Mrs. Cynthia McEllroy of Altus, OK (in 1943).
According to Lydia's obituary of 1943, Jake lived then in Lawton, OK. I have no other info on him, just know Lydia was born 5-22-1866 in Albany, TX. She married George E. Wall in 1886 and settled in Seymour, TX.
I'd love to trace Lydia's family. She was Chickasaw Indian, so I'm told, but hid that fact due to the social pressure of the times.
