Did you perhaps copy down the information on the sampler? This might be extremely helpful to me.
My mystery 5th-great-grandmother is said to have been "Miss or Mrs. CLEMONS," but I can find absolutely no proof for this.
She m. Benjamin HATHAWAY in either MA or NJ ca 1718. Their last child was Benoni HATHAWAY, Nov 1743 Morristown, Morris, NJ. She likely died as a result as Benjamin remarried Elizabeth (Mehurin) CROSSMAN in Mar 1744 Morristown.
