Am not sure if I'm in the right pew. My ancestor, Thomas Hall (b. c 1800) m. Mary "Polly" Evans (b. c 1805) about 1825. Do not know who her parents were - so am searching. According to the Census of Pendleton District, the Clements were there in the same time frame as the Halls and a William Evans married Capt. Benjamin Clement's daughter Susanna. Evans received a land grant and moved to Georgia where he died in Wilkes Co. in 1806. I'm wondering if there is a connection. I know that the Halls and the Clements did land transactions. They are shown in notes in this Census.
