Cherrie,My great-grandpa was William R.Clement from Cocke County Tenn.So far I've really not found anything out about his side of the family.I'm tracing my grandpa Elder's roots.Grandma was a Clement.William was her father.We went to Newport Tenn and I've got a copy of GR-Grandpa & Gr-Grandma Clement's marriage license.They were married March 11 1898.Her name was Dorthulia Morris.Have you run up on these names anywhere in your search?They settled in Spartanburg,SC but grandma had brothers and sisters who lived in Columbus NC and also Saluda NC.which is Polk County.Rutherford County is the county next to it.Part of Columbus is almost in Rutherford County.Thanks for any help.Linda E.Tesenair
