Hi, My Thomas Clement was born in GA. (where?) He married a woman named Mary Jane (Goin?) or probably not. I think he came to Arkansas sometime around 1850, possibly with his parents. There is a hint that one was Choctaw. Nothing definite. In 1850 there are two Clement men in Ouachita county, ARK. (Close to the LA border). In 1860, Thomas acquired land in LA, northern part. One boy was born there. Then at the outbreak of the Civil War Thomas and family move into Texas. My husband's grandmother Mary Emma Clement was born in Texas in early 1860s. Several others were born in Texas. By 1870, the family move to Franklin co., Ark., where Thomas died. Mary Jane Clement was born in KY. Wanda Cole
