Of interest to all Clemen(t)s and surname variations

Perhaps the greatest breakthrough ever in genealogy research is the recent availability of DNA testing to aid in determining one's roots.
The Y-DNA test is now available to males with the Clements surname and all variations of this surname (Clement, Clemons, Clemmons, Clemens, Clem, etc.)! Not only will this test help determine whether or not you are related to others with known descendents, but also provides information about your recent ethnic origins as well as your deep ancestry (thousands of years). The cost is very reasonable and taking the test sample from the cheek is easy and painless to take. Anyone seriously interested in genealogy research should take advantage of this new technology.
In particular, it would be very interesting to see if there is any relationship the Clemens and Clement(s) families, between Peyton CLEMENTS and Simon CLEMENT of Granville, NC, and any unknown relationships of these and other participants with William CLEMENT (d. 1760) or his son Benjamin CLEMENT. For those with “stone walls” or so far unable to prove suspected relationships, this may be the breakthrough you have been waiting for.
If you are interested, please contact me at icon@communicomm.com and include "Clements DNA" in the subject line. I would also be interested in how far back have you been able to trace your Clemens ancestors. I look forward to hearing from all of you!
