I have a Clemens "brick wall". He is William E. Clemens born 3 April 1825 in Tennessee. He was married 12 July 1846 in Washington Co., Arkansas to Eliza Todd. Their places of residence were:
Washington Co., Arkansas
Barry Co., Missouri
Polk Co., Missouri
Webster Co., Missouri

He served in the Civil War as a Private in Co. K-72nd Regiment-Mo. Militia-Home Guards. He was captured and taken 7 miles into the woods to be shot. He was wounded, shot in the right knee and across the nose injuring his right eye while escaping 15 April 1863 near Galena,Missouri.

I haven't a clue as to who his parents were or where he was from in Tennessee.

Does anyone have a William E. Clemens born 1825 in Tennessee in your tree?
