Need ancestors of JOHN W. m. MARILDA TURNER not sure whether they were from PA or KY as I have heard both states mentioned. They had a son JAMES CLIFTON CLEMENS b. Sep 1,1852 near Laclede,MO m. MARY ELLEN MARTIN April 24, 1876. She had one sister MARTHA E.(CLEMENS) WISE of Oregon. The parents of MARY & MARTHA were MATHIAS MARTIN & SARAH HINDERMAN b.May 1841 & Feb. 28,1840-41 m.Sep 1856. Both came
from Green CO. PA 1869-70. Need their ancestors also. MARILDA had sister MELINDA HART; JAMES C. had brother JEFFERSON D. & sister AMANDA WELLMAN, Pasco,WA. JAMES C. had 8 children,3 died fr. Diptheria at 4yrs,27 & 23 months. One son CHESTER b. Sep. 16,1897 d.1979 m.1924 IVA KEMPER d.Jan. 16,1978. CHESTER & IVA were my maternal grandparents.
Other children were the 2brothers ELL & JAMES B., 2 sisters EDITH & PAULINE. The children that died young were Charles,Edna & Johnnie.
