Further research showed brother Samuel Seamans mar. a Lydia Tilson in Marietta, OH in 1790. Perhaps it was their son, Preserved T. Seamans whose T. may be for Tilson. Preserved's children all had surnames for middle names including Samuel Clemens (1820) Seamans. Could there be a Tilson-Clemens marriage ca. 1750+ with offspring Lydia Tilson? The Clemens tie-in would verify the parents of Preserved T. Seamans.
