Clemens in Anne Arundel Co. Maryland?

If anyone is aware of an early Maryland Clemens family, from England, I'd love to know if any were in Anne Arundel County.
I'm researching an ancestor, Horatio CLEMENS SANKS and am trying to figure out where the CLEMENS name comes from - obviously a maiden name from a woman in the line.
