We have very little info. abt. our Clemens ancestors. William was born 28 Apr 1812 in Liverpool, Lancs, England. He married Ann Wilds. She was born 28 Aug 1817 in Carlton, Y., England. They had a daughter, Mary Ann, at Doncaster, Y., England 5 July 1841. William was a scissors grinder by profession. William and Ann emigrated to America from Liverpool, England--1 Jan 1844. Both were signers of the Charter of St. Louis. William died while crossing the Plains in 1850. We'd really like to know who William's parents might be-- from back in England. Ann and their children ended up in Utah. Does anyone know anything more about this family? We descend from William's and Ann's son, James Hyrum Clemons born in St. Louis, MO 24 Dec. 1849 and died 15 Dec. 1922 in Eureka, Juab Co., Utah
