You have 46 chromosomes. The Y DNA test only tests the Y chromosome, which is only one out of 46. It cannot identify you!!! It can't reveal if your eyes are blue, your hair is blue, or your skin is blue. It can't tell your age, height, weight, or nationality. It can't reveal health problems (what do you expect for only $99?!!) or congenital defects. The records are kept in a secure database and your privacy is in no way violated. The test cannot identify you. There are thousands with the same 12 marker results on the Y chromosome as yours. But if their name is Clements, and if they have done the DNA test, they are probably descended from the same ancestor as you. You can rule out incorrect ancestries, and you can find the one you match through this test, and stop barking up the wrong tree and banging your head against a brick wall. Be sure you join the Clements Surname Project.
