I have been researching Cleggs in Manchester with the hope of finding Maud Clegg, born around 1924 living in Denton, Manchester just after WW2. I have found a marriage record to Franciszek Chiechovski in 1948 but lost it from there. Another record that may be useful to you is a marriage of a John J Clegg to Maud Lancaster late in 1916 at Chorlton, M/c, they had four daughters, Muriel, Edna, Irene, and Maud (posibly the one I am looking for). The Maud that I am looking for I think had a son in 1946 named David. If you have come across any Mauds in the course of your research I would appreciate any help you could provide.
