Nancy Clegg - S.C. to Alabama

I have just found out through my great grandmother, Alice Riley's death certificate, that her parent's names were, William J. Riley and Nancy Clegg. He was born in Ala. and she was born in S. Carolina.
I have a marriage record for them, they were married Jan. 10, 1861 in Butler Co., Ala. My great grandmother Alice was born on Sept. 7, 1866 in Covington Co., Ala.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's help in finding this Clegg family line that she came from. I figure that she was born between 1840-45.
