Joan C. Cleary of Glen Ellyn A Mass for Joan C. Cleary, 86, formerly a longtime resident of Hillside, and a former resident of Mayslake Village Retirement Community in Oak Brook, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Domitilla Church, Hillside. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 W. Roosevelt (corner of Roosevelt and Mannheim), Hillside/Westchester. Born Jan. 30, 1920, in Chicago, she died Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Arlington Heights. Survivors include her children, Robert T. (Rose Marie), Kathleen Ware (Gene Dobberstein), Kevin (Roberta), James (Mary Ellen) and Mark (Katherine); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. in 1983. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Joseph High School. For information, 708-547-8200.
