I am replying to Judy Doyle posting and your response. She was helping me search for some of my family. Here is what I know: After many years of searching I think I have finally found my gr.gr. grandparents, John & Margaret Robinson. In the 1841 census of Penwortham, Lancashire, England, I found John and Margaret (Pearson) Robinson. Margaret's first husband was John Pearson and they had a daughter, Elizabeth Pearson, b. abt. 1820. She married David Clayton abt. 1839. Had several children. Immigrated to USA abt 1842 and lived in St. Louis, MO., as listed in the 1850 census. David Clayton d. abt. 1852. Elizabeth Clayton married a Elijah Hancock abt.???, as listed in 1860 census. Elizabeth Pearson Clayton Hancock died in 1888 and is buried in the Robinson family plot in Bellefountaine Cemetery, St. Louis. Do you have any information on this family?? I am still searching for further information on John & Margaret Pearson Robinson and their two sons, James & William, both born in England. William is my gr.grandfather and lived his life in St. Louis. I do not know when he came to America.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Shirley Robinson Berg
