I recently learned from the Worcester County, MA "warnings out" posted by the town of Grafton:
August 3, 1760, Alexander Clayton with Sarah, child Sarah
from Upton, July 14, 1760.

Previously, Town of Upton MA vital records recorded:
Clayton, Mary b. Aug 26, 1744 in Wrentham,
MA to Alexander and Susanna Smith Clayton.

Even earlier, Upton v.r. reported:
"Claton", Alexander and Ruth Smith of Ranthumisic,
Wrentham, int. 26 Feb 1767.

My ancester, Jonathan Clayton was born in Upton 1n 1745/6 according to the DAR Patriot Index. Sorting is needed?
