Info Wanted on Susan Clayton B: about 1813 in KY

I am looking for information on Susan Clayton, born about 1813 in Kentucky and according to the 1850 Census of Henry County Missouri was married to Bluford Merchant, born about 1818, also in Kentucky. The 1850 census shows they had 3 children: Permelia (1837), John T. (1839), and Sarah (1845). I am really researching Bluford (my great-great grandfather, but I cannot find anything other than marriage licenses (married to Susan in 1837 and then married to Mary Armstrong in 1852) and the 1850 census. I thought if I could get info on Susan, it could lead me to more info on Bluford. I can trace Bluford back to present, but nothing earlier than 1837/1852. Any help would be appreciated.
