Our family research reflects that William ROBERTS m. a Frances CLAYTON.
An 1896 Limestone Co., TX gene publication states that the parents of Charles Roberts b. 1813 GA were William Roberts and Frances Clayton. One un-named, undocumented source indicates that William and Frances married possibly Richmond Co., GA ca 1810. The 1830 Monroe Co. GA census lists the household of William Roberts with spouse and ten children. This household has never been located again after 1830. The above Charles migrated to Texas with his father's widowed brother, (also Charles Roberts), ca 1832/33.
Does anyone have information on a CLAYTON family with a daughter/sister named FRANCES, born ca 1790, possibly GA or SC, or maybe even AL?
