I have looked and looked in the 1880 census for this family and they just are not there. I don't know if the Claypool family changed their name. I have seen it spelled Claypoole but I can not find anything on them. Here is what I have if anyone can help me I would love to hear from you.

1. William CLAYPOOL. Born on 6 Aug 1810 in Virginia. William died on 28 Apr 1884, he was 73. Buried in Old Cemetary, Geneseo, Illinois.
On 9 Nov 1846 when William was 36, he first married Abigail GOLEANOR, in Hendricks Co., Indiana. Born on 14 Sep 1823 in Ohio. Abigail died on 13 May 1901, she was 77. Buried in City Cemetary, McPherson, Kansas.
They had the following children:
i. Reuben A. Born on 14 Sep 1846.
ii. William F. Born on 7 Sep 1848.
iii. Mary C (Stillborn). Born on 24 Aug 1851.

2. Albert Benjamen CLAYPOOL. Born on 6 Nov 1854. Albert Benjamen died in Lenapah, Oklahoma on 21 Aug 1932, he was 77.
On 24 Jul 1884 when Albert Benjamen was 29, he married Martha Emeline HENDRIX, daughter of Henry HENDRIX & Sarah, in Ralls, Missouri. Born on 30 Jan 1858 in Henderson County, Illinois. Martha Emeline died on 21 Sep 1924, she was 66.
Martha came to Mcpherson in 1903.
They had the following children:

3. Joseph Stanley CLAYPOOL. Born on 6 Jan 1858 in Peoria County, Illinois. Joseph Stanley died in Roseburg, OR on 27 Feb 1921, he was 63.
Joseph Stanley first married 1ST.
Joseph Stanley second married Estella HUNTINGTON. Estella died on 27 Feb 1921 in Roseburg, OR.
They had the following children:

iii. Raymond Stanley (1902-1950)

4. Milton Haney CLAYPOOL. Born on 3 Jul 1859 in Illinois. Milton Haney died on 7 Jan 1912, he was 52. Buried in Bean Cemetary, Little River, Kansas.
On 10 May 1893 when Milton Haney was 33, he married Nellie Belle MOSS, daughter of Jeremiah MOSS & Lucy Ann SMITH. Born on 5 May 1871 in Winsconsin. Nellie Belle died on 12 Apr 1911, she was 39. Buried in Bean Cemetary, Little River, Kansas.

In 1885 when Otis Nelson was 15, he married Lena Wilma MOSS, daughter of Jeremiah MOSS & Lucy Ann SMITH. Born in 1869 in Winsconsin. Lena Wilma died in Califorina in 1913, she was 44. Buried in Califorina.
They had the following children:

6. Amanda Carrie CLAYPOOL. Born on 7 Apr 1861. Amanda Carrie died in Califorina.
On 17 Jun 1888 when Amanda Carrie was 27, she married John Wood BRISCOE. Born on 27 May 1865 in Warren Co., IN. John Wood died in Arlette,OR on 10 Aug 1910, he was 45.
They had the following children:
i. Lillie
ii. Vada
iii. Clarence
iv. Otto
