Re.your home page as posted on this Query
Patricia, This is too close to be coincident, My grandfather was Patrick H. Claiborne. He was involved in what the newspaper called a "Desperate Affray" in Frio Co. Tx. in 1886. He, with his brothers Buchannan (Buck)C Claiborne and John W. Claiborne were in a dispute over the building of a fence arround a place called "Abbie Pasture" where in John W. was killed outright, Buck was wounded as was Patrick. Buck died of his injuries two days later. This happened 7-19-1886 as stated in Frio Co. Tx. Patrick recouperated, Buck and John W. are burried in Longview cemetery near Big Foot, Frio Co. Tx. All three of these brothers were born in Red River County Texas. Buck's dates are B.11-28-1856 D.7-21-1886. Another coincident, Patrick H. Claiborne m. Margurite Robinson whose mother was Emma Kuehne.
