John Fisher Gilbreath Cliborne--update
Hi again,
For those of you researching John Fisher Gilbreath Cliborne, I have more info directly from his Civil War pension file.According to request for pension applications he filled out personally and signed, and his death certificate, he was born 16 Nov 1847 in Monroe County, Tennessee, his parents were indeed William Cliborne and Drucilla Gilbreath, and he died 1 April 1925 in Highfill, Hoover Twp, Benton County, Arkansas. In addition, he stated on his pension application form that his first wife was Malinda Rose, maiden name Ruckman (she was married previously to Civil War casulty Hiram Rose).Afadavits from two Republic, Greene County, Missouri residents provide her date of death as 12 Jan. 1894, in Republic, Greene County, Missouri, burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic. There are also documents about John's second wife, Mary Elizabeth Mathews.
Hope this helps someone.
Michelle
P.S.Unfortunately, the copy of John's death certificate has the bottom portion missing so that I don't know what cemetery he's buried in.Does anyone have this info?
