As far as I know, I am not. My Clayborn line is actually the Cliborn/Clyborn line of Henrico Co (which is in no way connected to the line of William Claiborne). The James I mentioned earlier is a James William Clayborn, not Willie James. As far as I know James William never left the Wythe/Tazewell/Buchanan Co area of VA (except maybe to KY to get married?) It is possible, however, that your lineage ties in with mine as William and James (and variations thereof) are QUITE common names in my family line, AND, there is an apparent tradition of naming your child after a close relative (a little before I was born it was supposed to be your grandfather, but father up the tree it is uncles, brothers and fathers also). If you would like any information I have Id be happy to help. I have lots of info on BOTH Clayborn lines.
