He inherited the homestead at his mother's death.

Spouse: Rebecca Comer
Married: 22 Dec 1788 in: Halifax Co., VA
He was a soldier of the Revolutionary War, enlisting at age sixteen. He made
application for a pension October 10, 1832, at age seventy-two. He was
residing in Grainger Co., Tennessee at the time. His pension was allowed for
seven months service as a private and one month as a Sergeant. He enlisted
in Chesterfield Co., VA and served under Capt. Edward Mosely and Col. Robert
Goode.
