John Cureton was born about 1797 in Georgia. He married Sara West(born Alabama) in 1810. John Cureton served as judge of Washington Co., Arkansas from 1836-1838. Sara died around 1847 and is buried on West family land. John then married Laura Moriah_???. This marriage produced three additional children: Alfred Sexton born 1848; John LaFayette born 1850; and Sara Ann born 1853. John died 1853 and is buried with Sara.
