Rebecca: My great grandfather was Thomas Harmon Clay born March 1848 in Castlewood, Russell Co. VA. His mother was Emily Clay who appears in the 1860 census as head of household. In the 1850 Census she and 2 of her sons (my great grandfather included) was living at the same place as shown in the 1860 census, but Lucy Clay was shown as head of household. If you have any way of determing if these people are listed in the
Clay Family Book, I would appreciate hearing about it. Do you know where I might find a copy of this book? Hope to hear from you. Norma Allman
