I am interested in finding information about Ernest "Lyle" Clay,
son of Pearl Clay, and brother to Harold and Harley Clay. Ernest
went by the name "Lyle", and was born in Tracy, Iowa in about 1911.
He married a Virginia Irwin, who we believe he later divorced, and
went on to live in Des Moines, Ia. until his death in 1971. He and
Virginia had two children who were placed for adoption in about
1931, and their daughter, Margaret, is my mother. We are trying
to piece together as much of the family history as we can (just to
satisfy our curiousity). So far we have found my uncle, Marvin,
and a first cousin, Charleene, daughter of Harold. We are parti-
cularly interested in finding out about Lyle and ex-wife Virginia,
however. Please drop me a line if you have any info. Thanks!
