My great grandfather was Adam Monroe Mead and the son of Adam Monroe Mead Sr. My grandfather was George Monroe Mead and my father was Ralph Meade. My father's name was spelled incorrectly on his school records while in grammar school and he never changed it. I am very curious about Sarah Amanda Clay and would love to hear what if anything has been discovered about her lineage. I have also read that she was the illegitimate daughter of Henry Clay and a native american servant.
