In Reply to: David Clay – Wales to PA and Ohio Moore, McCool, Lemon, Eakin, Scott families by William Clay of 3831

I was just on here looking around to see if there was anything new on the Clay/Clea family. I am a descendant of William Clay from Venango Co. William had two wives...Mary Steward whom he had two daughters and the Anna McCool. There is a little confusion as to the children of William one being my great, great, great grandmother Mary Jane. It was always said her father was William, but I am not sure now that he is. I believe she may have been a child of one of the daughters of William's first marriage and he and Anna raised her as their own. No proof.
