Searching for additional information and reconnection to previous postings about the David Clay family. David Clay was believed to come over from Wales abt. 1760 to settle near Sinking Valley – Altoona area. David was believed to have moved to Western PA and then on to Ohio where he said to have died and been buried. The line of descendents include: William B. Clay, Cyrus Riggs Clay, and Clinton Clay. Additional surnames are the Moore family, Eakin, McCool, Scott and Lemon families. Most families are from or involve relatives in Ireland and Scotland and were at one time living in the Scrubgrass or Clinton Township areas of Venango County in Pennsylvania. Particular interested in the Moore family branch in Venango County born in the late 1800’s. Including Frank, Samuel, Harry, Ida, Jessie Moore. I do have a number of pictures and a rough outline of the tree going back to David. Have so far been unable to cross over to Wales, or verify additional branches from David and his son William.
