Taylor, Hanahan, Clay families (Ilinois)

I am researching my family and have come to a halt of information.
My grandfather is Edward Hanahan from Illinois,
his parents are Andrew Hanahan & Leta Taylor(sp?),
Leta's parents are John Melvin Taylor & Zartaina Clay (sp?).
John & Zartaina also had another child Arthur Taylor
John & Arthur ended up in MN, and Zartaina married George Baird and stayed in Illinois with Leta (where my direct family comes in)
I was wondering if anyone has any info/connections to any of these people. We are really confused now, we have always been told that we were only Indian (chippewa?) and Irish. It was always said that Leta was full Indian, however she died when my mother and other living relatives were young and they don't remember much about her. Now that we are looking into our family tree we cannot find these Indian connections at all, so now we have no idea what nationality we are. Any help from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated!!! Also if you are looking for info from the Andrew Hanahan and Leta Taylor marriage and after I might be able to help there. Just in case, my email is michellecurtis25@yahoo.com Thanks!!!
