I especially need information about the WIFE of D. Monroe who was named Martha. She gave her name as Martha Hartsell, daughter of Adam and Matilda Hartsell on her marriage certificate. I am not aware of a child of these parents matching Martha's statistics. In the 1900 census for Cabarrus County, NC, Monroe and Martha have 5 children listed. I cannot read the writing very well, but the names appear to be Simial Mc (must be Samuel but the "i's" are dotted), Leroy R., what appears to be Florence, Paul, and Erl. Monroe and Martha are buried at Bethel Methodist Ch. Cem in Cabarrus Co., NC. I'd LOVE to have more information about this family.
