Hi Shirley,
I am a descendent of Patsy Clay, sister of Jeramiah Walker Clay. I'm sure you know that Jeramiah W. and Patsy were both married in Washington County, VA in 1794 and 1795. Brother James Clay was there also per tax rolls. Frances Johnson was the first wife of Jeramiah Walker Clay. You sometimes see her as Frances Gardener. Do you have any information on her? Patsy married Thomas Johnston b. abt 1776. I do not believe Frances is his sister, because she is not in the will of the father of Thomas, that being Thomas b. abt 1750. Thanks for any help.
