Here is what I have: Thomas E. Clay b. 8/13/1824 Mary Clay b. 2/28/1804 Mary M. Clay b 3/1/1826 Jacob F. Clay b. 10/24/1828 Clement W. Clay b. 3/8/1830, Henry C. Clay b/ 11/11/1831, Jonathan Clay b. 5/15/1833, Ann Elizabeth Clay b. 6/11/1834, Simon T. Clay b. 12/7/1837. Thomas E. Clay d. 1852.....these names are handwritten in the Bible.
This I know for fact: Finley Clay b. 10/2/1855 married to Louise Rebecca Hoover b. 12/10/1856 Fulton, Co. Ind.d. 5/9/1923 Macy, Ind. Their children were Roy, Martin Henry, Ed, Howard, and Nellie Clay (my greatgrandmother) b. 1873-1877 Rochester, Ind. d. 1929 Macy, Ind. She married Harley Joe Emmons 12/22/1899. I know the family bible was handed down through the Clay side from Finley to his daughter Nellie....but how Finley fits in to the names listed above..I have no idea.
Maybe there is a connection.......
