On the 1850 census, Lawrence County, Kentucky....John age 49 is shown with wife Nancy age 44. I don't know when they married. I believe they had at least three sons. John's second wife was Mattie (Amanda?) Chapman. John died in 1889 and is buried in Nebo Hill Cemetary in Lawrence County.
