Hi. I found this forum quite by accident. My daughter has a revolutionary period historial fiction article to write for school so I suggested she base it on one of our great aunts - Phoebe Belcher Clay and her Indian experiences. A quick search on the Internet pulled this up. When I quit researching my Belcher family several years ago there was speculation from a Barrow researcher that Phoebe Belcher's parents were Francis Belcher and Phoebe Cabaniss. The History of the New River Valley lists my Isham Belcher as the nephew of Phoebe Belcher Clay. There was lots of speculation if he was son of Phoebe's brother Richard or Isham. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...greg
