Hi Cathy, I have a William Clay who married Ida (?). They had a daughter, Ruby Ethel Clay, who was born probably in the 1890s in KY. She married Byron Lester Lovely and moved to WV at least by 1922. I hope this may help you. Please let me know if this information makes a connection or if you have some information that might help me in my search. The oral family history, of which I do not have any supporting evidnce, is that William was a descendant of Henry Clay, the statesman.
