I come from the Lucy Clay-William Thaxton line. they were my ggggg grandparents. I have alot of Info on the clays and thaxtons. I came from their son Yelverton. He was a Doctor. He won the land lottery in 1827 in Butts County Ga. There are many thaxtons in Butts County. We have a family reunion every year at Indian Springs Georgia, which is in Butts County.
