So happy to see your Clay info. My direct lineage is Thomas Clay, b. January 17, 1745 or 1746. He was married to Susanna(h) Watkins, b. March 26, 1754; m. April 23, 1770; children are: John Clay, b. March 16, 1770; Stephen Clay, b. January 28, 1773 in Campbell County, Va.; m. Elizabeth Dearing, b. 1790 in Campbell County; their children: Henry Watkins Clay, b. 1814 in Campbell County, Va. d. Abt. May 5, 1862 in WBTS, first batttle at Williamsburg, Va.;m. Martha Jane Pettet, b. Nov. 10, 1810 in Louisa County; m. September 23, 1840 in Campbell County, Va.; children: Frances (Fanny Kit) Catherine Clay, b. 1841; d. 1913;Fanny Kit married William Lee Foster, b. April 1831 in Hat Creek, Brookneal, Va. (Campbell County, Va.),m: Oct. Oct. 1, 1865; d. abt. 1905; their children: Martha (Mattie, my ggrandmother)Watkins Foster, b. September 28, 1868 in Hat Creek, Brookneal, Campbell County, Va.)

I have a lot more on Martha (Mattie) Watkins Foster Clay's children but since it is my direct link, I have too much to put in here now.
