Hello Alice Ramsey: Francis Marion Clay married Sarah Ann Allen on 12/1/1883 in Mercer County, Ohio. Children: Arthur (1898); Clara Bell (12/17/1880); Edna (1900); Earl (1896) Harry (1886) and Wilbur (1904). Francis Marion's father J. M. Clay; mother Sevilla Baltzell (per FHC microfilm) (You may want to verify dates of birth of children.)

Francis Marion Clay was born 1864 in Mercer Co. Ohio.

I too am researching the Clay name but this Francis Marion who married Sarah Ann Allen is not from the same family I am searching. However, the information was copied in my notes in the event I could someday make a connection. My FM was born 4/7/1866, father Zachariah Clay, mother Charlotte Vicoria Thomas.

Any connection?
