I can't think of any researcher I'd trust more than Mr. Robert Clay. He's head of the Virginia State Library, after all. When I met him at the NGS meeting in Richmond a couple of years ago, he quoted sources right out of his head for me to find proof of Jesse Clay (Jasper County, GA after 1784)'s parents, which connected me to the other Clay family in Virginia. It was right where he said I'd find it.
