What you have about Edward Clay and Magdalene
(Trabue) Clay is probably true. They did have ten children and you named all ten. I too, am looking for a connection. Edward, Sr.
d. abt. 1819 in Person Co., NC. They moved
from VA in the late 1760's or early 1770's.
The son James m. Lucy Rogers abt. 1810 in NC.
They had 1 son, John Clay who d. abt. 1849 in
Person Co. His wife removed to MO where she is found on the 1850 Census. Edward, Jr may
also have lived in Warren Co., TN. The other
brothers John, Samuel, and Francis supposedly
died before 1820. I'm looking for a child who
would have been b. abt. 1825, and that's a
rough guess. My grgmother Emily (~?~) Clay was b. abt. 1828 in NC. My aunt said her dad
always said we were related to the "Great Henry" through his uncle. Henry only had one uncle and that was Edward Clay. If I find out
anything more I'll let you know, so keep in touch. I can be reached at
