Hello all. Please don't think I'm a snob, but I've taken upon myself to begin work on the 'definative' Clay Surname Homepage. There is so much information out there, but so much of it deals with singular lines. What I want this page to 'become' (and it will take years to get there' is a site that all researchers/genealogists can come to for references to ALL the descendents of John Clay, who came to VA in 1613. Now, there are undoubtedly Clay's in America that did not come from this line, and we'll see what interest there is in putting their information online. I've been at this for several years..on and off, and have about 10000 names in my database. I know....just a start :-) Please work with me so that someday soon, we can all have a place to go to post and review our genealogy on the Clay side (with a premium on historical proof, with some entertaining stories to boot - NO ONE has ever called the Clay line a boring family!) Please email me if you are interested in becoming a member of this collaborative effort. Thanks. members.tripod.com/~Claye PS...Yup...finally stumbled on this site after searching on the net for the thousandth time...Its great...so a link will be coming up soon to this. I'm not a fan of reinventing the wheel ... :-)
