Hey it caught my attention. At least you got some followups. I have Clay's in Pike Co., Ohio who have a lot of the same names as yours. Supposedly came from Virginia to Ohio but I have hit a brick wall also. Pike Co., Ohio is very close to Kentucky so who knows.
At least one of my Elijahs was b. 1858 in Pike co., Ohio and married Effie Brown.
His brother, William Wilson Clay is my direct ancestor. If you think we might have any connection would be very happy to share. Mary Frost Akers vmakers@grm.net
