Owen County Claxons
Posted by: Julie Zerbe (ID *****4291) Date: September 29, 2002 at 18:29:40

I have a photo given to me by Rick Johnston that has Josie (Claxon) Juett, Sam Claxon, Sally (Claxon) Johnson and Elizabeth Katherine (Claxon) Oliver. I already know that Josie was Lizzie's sister. Sam and Sally are supposed to be siblings as well, but I have no data on them or where they lived or who they married.

I have started a new (strictly genealogy) site at genealogybot.com, with links to information as well as the above-named photo. I am Lizzie (Claxon) Oliver's descendant and she was the daughter of James Robert Claxon and Kate New. I have recently traveled to Owen County and have Claxon Ridge graveyard photographs as well as some others in the area. Under current conditions I doubt that Claxon Ridge will hold up much longer without some help.
